Not a blonde kind of person

So today, while watching The Little Mermaid for class, I realized something.

Prince Eric is probably the first male hero I remember from my childhood (other than the captain from The Sound of Music (but I didn't really notice how he was a complete hottie until I was much older). Anyway, Prince Eric was the first hero I was exposed to and that could possibly explain why I have a thing for dark haired boys and don't really fancy too many blondes.

I don't know how far fetched that theory sounds but it makes perfect sense in my head.
And yes, finals are looming up so I've decided to return to blogging.

Saying Goodbye...

I'm sorry I wasn't there. To argue with you at the hospital at night like I used to, whenever you insisted that I should sleep on your bed, even though you were the patient.

I'm sorry about that time we fought. And all the other times I can't remember. I'd blame it on the fact that I was thirteen and a complete idiot, but I needn't have been such a bitch. You were just doing what you were supposed to and watching out for me.

I'm sorry I didn't visit you as often as you wanted me to. I can't remember all the meaningless things that mattered then.

I'm sorry I'm not home yet. Even though I promised I'd be home soon.

I'm not ready for you to leave yet. It's as simple as that. So I want you to stay. I know I should want what's best for you. I know I shouldn't be selfish. Yet despite the fact that I've spent all my life asking you for things, and it's no longer my turn to ask but to give, I just want you to stay...

Isn't it the best

when you get to talk to 3/4 of the people you miss the most on the same day, quite unexpectedly for the most part?

I absolfuckinglutely LOVE

stepping on dry leaves on the sidewalk.

It's really ridiculous how much pleasure it gives me and how much I look forward to the last part of my walk home simply because I get to step on lots of leaves.

*sigh*

Here's why I am ridiculously glad that I don't live at home with certain extended members of the family

I don't have to deal with any marriage proposals that they think it's their job to bring to me. Including one from a first cousin thrice removed with whom I have a great sibling relationship with. *gag*

I'm not caught in the middle of house and land wars because apparently there's a raging one going on with the mother's younger sisters.

Sometimes it surprises me that I have the relatives that I do.

Question

Is it possible for someone to like two people at the same time?

I'd like to plead the fifth on that one.

yeah, apparently I envy a fox now... .

Remember that story about the fox and the grapes. I don't recall where I read it but I feel like it was either in Aesop's fables or in something that you just end up reading as a kid. The fox who couldn't quite reach some grapes that were hanging on a vine convinces himself that it tastes sour and wouldn't do him any good and walks away etc etc.

Odd as it sounds, I (kind of) envy said fox right now. Because the grapes that I can't reach are anything but sour so I can't seem to make myself walk away.

sigh

p.s. - Sorry about the cryptic post and lame metaphor, it's just one of those times where everything's just right and horribly wrong at the same time.
