Injustice

I was talking to friend today, who had been subjected to what could be categorised as sexual harassment while travelling in the bus... N all my old feelings of hatred towards the male gender surfaced eventhough time has taught me that it's the individual n not their gender that should be disliked..

Why is it IMPOSSIBLE for a female to walk down the road without getting harassed in some form? I can't recall a single occasion where some idiotic male on the road hasn't proclaimed his power by making some rude remark or hooting or whistling when i've walked without a male companion down a public road... eventhough there are hundreds and hundreds of females who travel using public transportation, most males react to it as if it's a freak of nature and go abt making a big deal abt it... We have no problem what so ever with where they go, what they wear etc so why on earth do they need to make a big deal about what we do...Especially seeing that this is the twenty first century n all n that women were liberated years and years ago, there's nothing wierd or out of place when a female walks down a road or takes a bus by herself...

Why on earth can't they just let us be????
